Welcome to Amala Nwobodo Foundation

Whatever you do for others is an expression of who you are

Who we are

Amala Nwobodo Foundation is an interface between the goodwill philanthropist and the beneficiary. We are the extension of your hands and the interface between you and the world. In a nutshell, we are the extended hand of the sponsors and the supervisors to the beneficiaries. We advise both members and help them achieve their goals. In so doing, our ultimate goal is also achieved.

We are the best anonymous garment you can wear. We make your voice so loud even when you seem invisible. ANF is an umbrella under which you can hide and do landmark exploits without being in the spotlight.

Through our streamlined categorised and articulated programmes, we stir you towards helping qualified students fulfill their dreams of obtaining academic certificates as you partake in sponsoring their education.

We give you the platform to express your heart by investing your time and resources on humanity: for we believe that whatever you do for others is an expression of who you are.

Impact Stories

Since the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Amala Nwobodo Foundation has adopted measures to cushion the effects of the lockdown.

70% of Nigerians depend on the daily income to survive and this population has been the most affected.

The Foundation has started the distribution of relief items to these vulnerable Nigerians but is limited because of the large coverage area.

We’re calling on other Nigerians to show compassion to this population by partnering or supporting the Foundation with either cash or relief items. Interested parties can join the outreach groups on the frontline or send in their donations.

2ND OUTREACH

ANF#DEFEATCOVID-19 OUTREACH TO KUSA STREET BARIGA LADILAK (EXTREME END) ON SATURDAY, 11TH OF APRIL 2020

The extreme end of Kusa Street is a stark contrast to the entrance of the street.

While well-structured storey buildings line both sides of the entrance of the relatively long street, unbelievably, at the tail end of the same street, the adjoining sides (with all due respect) can only be described as a slum.

The environment is densely populated and the houses (mostly delapidated buildings) knitted together.

An outbreak of Corona Virus in such a place would be disastrous.

ANF is therefore using this media to call on the government and other concerned bodies to extend aids to these residents.

We have also identified the need to educate the residents on the importance of social distancing and contant washing of hands.

However, our major concern is that we can not assertain the availability of pipe born water supply in the area.

It is note worthy that the residents 0f the extreme end of Kusa Street who are majorly youth, are resonsive to us, ANF workers, as we embarked on our door to door distribution of food items.

ANF distributes handy pocket-size sanitizers to residents of Palmgrove Shomolu.

3RD AND 4TH OUTREACH

ANF#DEFEATCOVID-19 FAILED AND SUCCESSFUL OUTREACH TO APPOLO MAKOKO AND OSHIPITAN STREET BARIGA LADILAK RESPECTIVELY

ANFDEFEATCOVID-19 OUTREACH FAILED AT APPOLO MAKOKO ON SATURDAY, 18TH OF APRIL 2020

ANF attempted distributing food items to Appolo community in Makoko but encountered resistance from the residents who are oblivious to the danger presently constituted by Covid-19.

The excited ignorant residents crowded the street and encompassed the food truck, making it impossible for ANF field workers to observe and maintain social distancing in the course of distributing the items.

ANF Outreach Team was eventually rescued from the encompassing crowd by men of Nigeria Police Force Adekunle.

ANF observes the need and urgency for the appropriate government agencies to enlighten and sensitize the residents of Makoko on the importance of observing social distancing and other healthy hygienic practices as well as arrange even distribution of palliative to the community residents.

ANFDEFEATCOVID-19 OUTREACH ON THE 21ST OF APRIL 2020 TO OSHIPITAN STREET (EXTREME END) BARIGA LADILAK

Three days after the failed outreach to Makoko, ANF#DefeatCovid-19 team embarked on a door-to-door distribution of foodstuff to the residents of the extreme end of Oshipitan street.

The residents welcomed and co-operated with ANF team. It was a successful outreach.

ANF is honoured by the presence of Miss Precious Okoye, the present Miss Polo who worked tirelessly with the team as they distribute the relief materials. Indeed, she has the strength of a horse! ANF admires her love for humanity and appreciates her contribution to the success of ANF#Covid-19 Oshipitan Outreach.

5TH OUTREACH

ANF#DEFEATCOVID-19 OUTREACH TO ITALOWO-AJEGUNLE COMMUNITY IN IKORODU LAGOS NIGERIA ON SATURDAY, 4TH OF APRIL 2020

Italowo-Ajegunle community is a co-ordinated suburb on the outskirts of Lagos, close to the boundary of Lagos state and Ogun state.

ANF team arrived at the community after a long-distance drive.

However, the peaceful atmosphere we encountered rejuvenated the team.

Moreover, the residents were joyful at sighting the team and they fully co-operated with the team.

KUDOS TO THE LOCAL VIGILANTE 0F ITALOWO-AJEGUNLE IKORODU LAGOS NIGERIA

6TH OUTREACH

ANF#DEFEATCOVID-19 OUTREACH TO LAGOS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL (LUTH). IDI-ARABA LAGOS ON THURSDAY, 21ST OF MAY 2020

ANF team visited Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, with cartons of liquid soap and sanitiser. We were heartily received by Prof W.L. Adeyemo, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) and his deputy, Dr. Deji Oluwole on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, (LUTH CMD), Prof. Chris Bode. Remarkably is the strict adherent to social distancing and the usage of facemasks by the management and staff of the institution as could be seen in the pictures. It was so absolute that we were even denied the pleasure of seeing the faces of our hosts. The Chairman, Prof Adeyemo, did not economise time as he extensively explains to us, the reality of Covid-19. According to him, Covid-19 is not a sham as many people insinuate. The alarming numbers of Covid-19 patients admitted in LUTH are enough evidence that the virus is real, therefore, people should adhere strictly to the stipulated health measures in order to curb the spread of the virus.
