ANF team visited Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, with cartons of liquid soap and sanitiser. We were heartily received by Prof W.L. Adeyemo, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) and his deputy, Dr. Deji Oluwole on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, (LUTH CMD), Prof. Chris Bode. Remarkably is the strict adherent to social distancing and the usage of facemasks by the management and staff of the institution as could be seen in the pictures. It was so absolute that we were even denied the pleasure of seeing the faces of our hosts. The Chairman, Prof Adeyemo, did not economise time as he extensively explains to us, the reality of Covid-19. According to him, Covid-19 is not a sham as many people insinuate. The alarming numbers of Covid-19 patients admitted in LUTH are enough evidence that the virus is real, therefore, people should adhere strictly to the stipulated health measures in order to curb the spread of the virus.
